La "Promenade" comes from the French word which means to take a leisure walk or stroll usually along a park or waterfront. La Promenade Café was carefully named since it is located near Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach. We are a family owned business and opened our doors for business in June 2013. However, this café has a long history dating back to over 40 years! The interior has been renovated with mural paintings depicting French café scenes which gives it its charm and warmth. Rated as one of the coziest coffee shops in SanFrancisco (https://www.eatthis.com/san-francisco-coffee-shops/), it is also one of the biggest and most spacious café in the Outer Richmond District. So whether you are coming in to study, to get some work done or just to meet up with some old friends, take a stroll down to our café and stay for awhile because we'll have plenty of seats for you.
